Why Zerk exists /004

Built by a maintenance planner, not a software company.

For years I planned maintenance on heavy equipment with spreadsheets, whiteboards and phone calls. Machines missed services because their hours lived in someone’s truck. Certificates expired because the reminder sat in one inbox. The software on the market was built for factories and office users, so I built the tool I wanted, at night, around two other jobs.

Zerk is one person and the shops that use it. No investors deciding what gets built; the roadmap comes from the people running iron.

The paperwork has a place, too.

On Pro, AI-assisted workflows help turn incoming equipment data and documents into records your team can actually use. Review the extracted details before they become part of your fleet picture.

Import equipment lists

AI suggests column matches from an equipment export so you can check the data before import.

02 /

Read certificates

Extract vendor and expiry information from inspection documents, then keep critical dates visible.

03 /

Process repair invoices

Pull vendor, parts and costs from an invoice and connect the expense to the right asset.
